Week 75... Lake Butler

AHH NO TIME... Hello!!

Wow!! This week was so full of miracles!!! It was amazing! I love working with Sister A! She is such a hard worker and we have wonderful unity together. It's been amazing to see how Lake Butler has truly blossomed! (Get it? Cause it's spring? Ha..) This past week we were able to find 7 SOLID investigators. Not the fluffy ones that fall off the face of the earth... But solid ones. Most of them said they would be baptized too!! It's been amazing!! I truly know without a doubt that all of these blessings are coming because A) God is a merciful being B) we are being wonderfully obedient and hardworking and C) God is a merciful being. Haha. I am just so happy!!

We taught this lady the restoration and we were talking about the Book of Mormon and she's all "hm.. That's something I would like to read.. Where could I find a copy of that? The library?" It was awesome!! She is awesome and I don't think I've ever met anyone so prepared.
Oh!! So we are teaching this woman named Isabelle!! And she is awesome!! This past week we taught her and her kids! They said they all wanted to be baptized together as a family!! Hallelujah!! It was amazing!!! So that's exciting. We are going to discuss a baptism date this week. :) I could go on and on with all the miracles that have been happening but I have no time. But, I just want you to know that the Lord is mightily blessing Lake Butler. It's such a blessing to be a missionary. It's a privilege to be able to spread the message of the restoration. I love the restoration! I love the gospel!!

Elder Kapishke from the 70 came and trained our mission. It was amazing. He taught me how to love. How to TRULY love. Pure love. It's beautiful!!  I loved it!

AND it's springtime. Which is the best time. God is good. :)

No time!!!! I love you all so much!

Love,
Sister Chamberlain :)

Week 74... Lake Butler

All the Miracles!!

Hello everybody!!! :)

This week was awesome!! We had transfers and I had to say goodbye to my dear Sister D!! That was really sad. Because I love her and she has become a really dear friend to me but alas!! Change is necessary for progression!

Miracles are happening in the lake city zone and it’s amazing! We had a goal to find 60 new investigators this week and we were all able to find 54 new investigators as a zone! That is 15 higher than our highest week. So amazing. It's incredible to see what happens when you expand your vision and all work together to reach a goal. So that was wonderful! This coming week we are all focusing on getting bap dates! We all want to have 3 by the end of the week! I love the challenge that the aps gave us to invite one person to baptism every day. So awesome!! I'm excited to see the miracles that will happen from that! It will take A LOT of faith.. But that's when miracles happen.

I'm excited to be working with Sister Anderson. She is a wonderful sister missionary with wonderful teaching abilities. I will certainly be learning a lot from her this transfer!

Miracle!!

So we went and taught one of our investigators (the one we found using the survey) and her mom and sister and brother in law were all there. We taught the plan of salvation and I pulled out a scripture from the Book of Mormon and started to explain what it was to her mom and sister because they weren't there in the other lessons. Well, her mom starts bearing her own testimony of the Book of Mormon and of Joseph smith and we learn that she is a less active member from the Starke ward!! Whaaat?! And her sister is actually a former investigator! So awesome!! It's amazing to see how Heavenly Father pulls families together so they can be together forever! It was wonderful. She accepted a bap date for March 28th :) so exciting!!!

I've learned this week that the best way to prepare yourself to go home is to just get lost in this wonderful work. The Lord will work out the details if I just focus on my purpose. So awesome.

We had to clean out some bunny cages and chase some chickens around again.. It's amazing the things you get yourself into on a mission. Hahaha. I love it so much. :)
The church is true y'all. :)

Have a beautiful week! I love you!

Love,
Sister Chamberlain :)

Week 73... Lake Butler

Transfer News!!!

Hey ya’ll!!!
I got the news!! I officially get to die in the blessed promised land of Lake Butler!!! I am ending my mission here!! I am so excited!! 6 weeks isn't a long time but I am excited to work until I drop. Which won't be hard, because I'm SO TIRED. ALL THE TIME. Ha ha. I love it. This week was full of amazing miracles. People are coming out of the woodwork wanting to learn about the gospel. And all I can say is... God is real. God is a God of miracles!!!

15- And now, O all ye that have imagined up unto yourselves a God who can do no miracles, I would ask of you, have all these things passed, of which I have spoken? Has the end come yet? Behold I say unto you, Nay; and God has not ceased to be a God of miracles.     -Mormon 9:15

God will not cease to be a God of miracles in YOUR own personal life. He knows you and he loves you and he is anxious to have your life full of miracles. I know the only life worth living is one where you are living the full and complete gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the way to happiness. I have experienced that for myself. I've never been so happy. :)

Love ya’ll! Here's to my last transfer!!

HURRAH FOR ISRAEL! :)

Love,
Sister Chamberlain

Week 72... Lake Butler

Hey Y’all!!

This week was an awesome week! It was full of a bunch of unexpected service opportunities!! Wooo!! One of the reasons I love Lake Butler so much is that we get ourselves into the most random situations. It's so awesome!!

So we were trying to visit a less active and we walk up and her brother is standing outside and I suppose the less active lady wasn't letting anyone inside or talking to anyone for like..2-3 weeks. So the brother asked us if we could catch her bunnies and chickens that had escaped. Well, we did. I am so pro at catching chickens now. I wish I had a video.. It was pretty comical. But we did it!! We fed all her bunnies and chickens and it was just a lovely time. Later in the week she got admitted into the hospital and we got to clean her house!!! We found a frog in the pond. Sister D dared me to kiss
it. So I did!! It. Was. Nasty. I sanitized my lips about 4 times after that.  No, it didn't turn into a prince. But that's because I'm a missionary. If I wasn't .... It definitely would've been a prince. So that was toadally awesome. Hahaha. Get it?

ANYWHO.

We helped this lady jump her car!! That was neat! She also said we could come back and teach her about the restored gospel! That was even neater!!

So we are teaching this lady who floors me with how elect she is every time we go over there. She is so awesome!! She is black! Which would be awesome if we could baptize her because we have 0 black people in our Ward. Well, except for Clarence. But he is blind and doesn't know he's the only black person. Haha. Lake Butler is still stuck in the 1960s where segregation is still a thing. I want our church to be the first segregated church in Lake Butler!!! Anywho, I love her. She loves what we have to teach her and the spirit is always so thick when we teach her!! I love teaching people!!!

OH… THE D FAMILY FINALLY CAME TO CHURCH. That was the best day ever. It was so awesome to see all 4 of the boys with a Book of Mormon in their hands sitting in church. Oh my heart can't even handle the happiness I wanted to shout for joy and do a happy dance when they walked in. They had a good time!! They said it was similar to meetings they had been to but this church was so much more welcoming and family friendly! Reason #8492 I love the church. So that was a huge miracle!

Elder Zwick and Elder Hemmingway came to our mission to train us on
our iPad usage. We are the very first mission in the whole world to have this training. They are rebooting the Facebook thing and it will take a while for the trainings to go out so I won't be on Facebook as a missionary any longer. I will be home by the time it is good to go. I love Elder Zwick so much. I had some really special experiences with the spirit that day. Elder Zwick has such a powerful testimony and the love he has for the savior and for all of us just radiates off of him. I am SO blessed to be in this mission where all of these exciting things are happening with social media and iPads and technology and yeah! So very, very blessed. The trainings were very uplifting. I felt so close to my Heavenly Father and my Savior during them and I could feel the trust they had for me.. And it was just amazing. It strengthened my testimony of the Savior about tenfold. :)

That's about all I can remember this week... It was a very uplifting week!! Many miracles happened and we were in the right place at the right time. I LOVE when that happens!!! God is so good. :)

My next P-day is a Tuesday because of transfers. My last transfer. I can't even believe how fast time has gone. Anywho, I love y’all to the moon and back. Thanks for everything. :)

Love Sister Chamberlain :)

P.s. Me smooching a nasty, slimy frog.
And me and my MTC companion Sister W. I love her!
